No, but I did had to download something because it said unable to find supported language even though I’m US EN

It sounds like the game was missing some language files. That can happen sometimes if the install was incomplete or the game didn’t include the English pack by default. The app can't be downgraded, but you can use older mod versions by going to Mod Settings > Mods Version and picking a date before clicking Play.
