#Mods Never Load On Any Game

Okay so I literally have no idea what even has happened here, wemod literally just stopped working. It's entire folder is whitelisted and I literally only use windows defender, but i will open ANY game, hit play, and it will just sit there and spin and load infinitely, and never actually load.

I've reinstalled wemod multiple times, even tried with a fresh account under a different email of mine, whitelisted the app and the folder, tried to launch the game FROM Wemod, nothing.

Is there something obvious I've not done or is anyone else having this issue? It's really bothering me because there are no other cheat platforms like Wemod and I do not want to have to learn cheat engine for this.

I know there's literally zero way for anyone to vet this but that screenshot had literally been loading like that for 12 ish minutes. I have no idea what's going on here or what else im supposed to do

also note: yes I did do a completely clean reinstall, yes i have restarted my computer, several times, yes i have even set up manual installation paths by doing the whole link the .exe directly

Its likely something on your network or AV blocking the downloads or slowing it down.

Can you try plugging into a router to see if the problems persist?

Unfortunately not really, i don't have an external router cause money and i live in an apartment that's essentially got a router in the wall, but its right across from my room and I haven't had problems yet before with it. I'll certainly look into it later today though, I have to work this morning heh

You can also try these steps when you have time

Add the following WeMod folders as exceptions to your antivirus software:

  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

If you are unable to whitelist the entire folders, you may need to whitelist the specific files mentioned below:

  • Update.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeMod.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeModAuxiliaryService.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\app-VERSION_NUMBER\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary

I whitelisted the folders, which didn't work, but when I went in and manually added the three files i DID manage to get it to work after a few tries! Which is still better than nothing, I think it had a problem with not being able to edit files on my computer the way that pop up will show up on things like that despite me almost always running as administrator, but thanks for your help anyways!!
