Hello, the mod menu is working fine for me, it starts up with no issue.
I've only noticed this weird thing where going through the game I've leveled my character raising only damage and keeping life points down to the base level.
I'm using "Damage Received Percentage" all the way to 20% to reduce it instead.

The weird behaviour is that when I reach around half health or a little less, enemies still kill me despite me having more than enough to take the hit.
I'm not sure if this issue can be fixed since it could be based on how the game handles and calculates damage, like if the attack is too fast for WeMod to notice it or the game checks if the damage is greater than your entire health pool it kills you almost hard-coded and the menu can't do anything about it.
I'm sure it's something to do with how the game and the trainer are programmed.

There is nothing written in the note about this (issue like some other options have) so I've assumed that it should work perfectly but it doesn't.

#

Also I'm 100% sure the hits that are killing me from enemies and bosses despite having "taken damage reduction" are not supposed to be one-hit-kill, they are the same that I'm able to tank when having more than half health

The character in this save file is equipped with the starter armour - very low defense rating - because this aggravates the issue and makes it more likely. It happens with higher tier armour too but at lower residual health or there's less chance of it happening.
Equipped weapons are mid tier and upgraded, one of which is locked but equipped via "Ignore Weapon Skill Requirement" trainer option so during standard gameplay I've been using only these two options enabled at all times.

From where my character is located I've tested the issue with nearby standard enemies and the issue is not present, possibly due to the lower amount of damage they deal.
To replicate the issue follow these steps:

  • enable "Damage Received Percentage" set to "20"
  • recommended temporarily turning "Unhittable" and/or "Infinite Health" to traverse the area bypassing obstacles
  • starting from inside a cage
  • turn back 180 degrees exiting the cage -> right in front slightly to the left see a gate with its door open
  • cross the open door gate and immediately turn left -> see the ladder with green lights
  • drop down the ladder with green lights and turn right -> there are numerous white exploding enemies and one yellow mechanical enemy at the end of the corridor
  • traverse the corridor and cross the gate at the end
  • turn immediately right on the catwalk -> see another ladder with green lights
  • drop down
    >> you are now in front of a mini boss with two other enemies
  • now disable "Unhittable" and/or "Infinite Health" if previously turned on

This boss enemy deals lots of damage with single attacks and the issue can be replicated almost every time.

Note that sometimes the game does kill you but WeMod attempts to prevent it by refilling the health despite the death cutscene being played.
Sometimes the enemy continues to attack after this triggering a double death (pay attention to the sound cues and notice a double respawn sequence plus losing points twice after respawn).

Other times you can tell the game considers you dead if the "sync bar" (the multi coloured bar around the bottom center of the screen) suddenly drops all the way to 0 but comes back up to its default 50% after a bit.
In this latter case the game has bugged because of WeMod and you can verify by walking back to the ladder and the game will NOT display the "press E" prompt to climb it: you can verify that the prompt should appear even when in combat during other attempts after respawning and following the same path (eg: drop down, aggro the boss and go back towards the ladder).

Sorry for the wall of text, I hope this can help you as best as possible to verify and debug. Let me know if there are unclear steps.

I see AI Limit's trainer got updated. Any changes related to this perhaps?

Sorry I had my response typed out but did not hit send! pepefacepalm

#

Can you confirm if the issue is resolved?

Awesome! I will run tests shortly and report back 🫡

Here are some notes on my ticket.

I can’t prevent forced death when using Damage Received Percentage, but I can when Infinite Health is enabled.
Sometimes, the game forces the player to die even before their health reaches zero. I’ve managed to override that behavior for Infinite Health and it works fine.
However, if I try to block forced death while using Damage Received Percentage, it might unintentionally give the player extra hits.
So, I’ve set it up so that forced death is disabled only if Infinite Health is active or if the Damage Received Percentage is anything other than 1.

Hopefully this resolves all your problems!

'Cause I've tested it just now and died with around 30% health still

I used

  • Unhittable and Infinite Health while running
  • One-Hit Kills just to dispatch the first closer standard enemy
  • Disabled everything right after except Damage Received Percentage as always set to 20%
#

so during the boss fight only Damage Received Percentage is enabled

#

my character stats are the same as from the beginning of the thread to clarify

You can find the version under the games properties on steam.

actually hold on, I noticed WeMod keeps reverting the mods version to the previous by default and I may have tested without the update unknowingly

sometimes the enemy does miss me (you can tell because there is no thumping sound effect) but occasionally the enemy DOES hit me and I receive no damage

I still have only the Damage Received Percentage enabled at 20% and nothing else
I only enabled Infinite Health at around half clip to heal and prolong the test then turned it off again

Sorry for pinging @cunning shard are there any updates on this?

#

The second version of the trainer is preventing the player from receiving any damage when the enemy performs an overkill attack

#

If this is the limit that the trainer can do then it's fine since you said before that there limits

# cunning shard I'll confirm with greenhouse and the team, thanks.

I saw the update notif and managed to snuck a quick test: I'm having the same result in the newer version as the previous (trainer prevents damage entirely on enemy overkill attack).

I also just now discovered WeMod has a forum: should I write in there to update the creator directly or keep it here so that it's more organized for specific bugs?
