#Can't use any controllers when launching a game through WeMod

I am having the controller issue, games that require me to launch through WeMod I can't use a controller on for some reason.

The mods work but somehow launching via wemod stops controller support. Ive tried with a Microsoft Controller, Xbox one controller and PS5 controller.

  • Is the controller completely unresponsive when the game is launched through WeMod, or do they work for gameplay but not for activating mods?
  • Does the controller work normally if you launch the same game outside of WeMod?

If your controller is interfering with the trainer:

  1. Disconnect your controller from your PC
  2. Restart your computer completely
  3. Launch the game first
  4. Start the trainer application
  5. Wait for both to fully load and initialize
  6. Reconnect your controller

If that does not work try these.

  1. Temporary disconnect method:

    • Unplug or disconnect the controller
    • Close the problematic application
    • Restart the application
    • Reconnect the controller after the app is running

  2. Driver conflicts:

    • Open Device Manager
    • Locate your controller under "Human Interface Devices" or "Game Controllers"
    • Right-click and select "Disable device"
    • Launch your application
    • Re-enable the controller once the app is stable

  3. Steam Input interference:

    • Open Steam settings
    • Go to Controller settings
    • Disable "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support"
    • Restart your application

  4. Process priority adjustment:

    • Launch your application first
    • Connect controller afterward to prevent input conflicts during startup

I can't do that.. WeMod says the game has to be launched throuh WeMod 1st I can't launch the game then the trainer.

Is it all games or just elden?

Just the ones I have to launch through WeMod.

The ones where I can launch throuh steam then run wemod after it loads work just fine.

Interesting, Are you using any special docking stations for your controllers or third party apps?

Try my suggestions of waiting till you are fully in game before pairing a controller and see if the problems persist.

Okay I will try that. no special docks or anything.. Ive tried both via USB and Bluetooth conntections.

Tried with ps5 controller, Xbox 1 controller and Microsoft Windows controller after game was fully loaded, both in the menu and standing at the round table

Dont worry I fixed it.. I added WeMod as a steam game, then I launched it with controller suppoort then launched the game through WeMod. NOW my controller works lol

I am not sure why it worked just glad that it does.
