I asked this in the discussion regarding the Anno 1404 trainer, but since I see that Discord is more active, I'm asking it here too. It turns out that years ago I played Anno 1404 and at one point the wemod was automatically deleted for some reason. Now the thing is, I want to know if what happened to me was because of Ubisoft, the game itself, and if it happened to anyone else. More than anything because I want to play Anno 1404 again, but I'm worried that the same thing will happen to me again as last time.

Hi! Just to confirm, were you able to use WeMod in the past, or was it deleted from your PC right after installation? Also, did you have any antivirus software installed on your PC at that time? If you're going to use WeMod, I recommend whitelisting or excluding the WeMod folders in your antivirus software.
It's possible that your antivirus software is causing interference. Try whitelisting or adding exceptions for the following folders:
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
Hello, I had two antiviruses installed, but when playing in anno 1404, it automatically deleted itself. After deleting the other antivirus and leaving only Windows Defender, I was able to reinstall Wemod. However, something that doesn't add up for me was how quickly Wemod deleted itself that time without any prior notifications. Currently, I plan to reinstall anno 1404 and try it, but I have my doubts, considering that it was complicated to reinstall Wemod. (It should be noted that I had used wemod before and right after using it in anno 1404 it self-deleted in no other game)
You may need to whitelist the specific files mentioned below:
- Update.exe, located in
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod - WeMod.exe, located in
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod - WeModAuxiliaryService.exe, located in
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\app-VERSION_NUMBER\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary
You're right and we're sorry, it shouldn't be this complicated. Unfortunately, everyone's systems are different and each has its own issues at times, but we always do our best to help.
Okay, it was mostly just to see, but tomorrow I'll probably try to see if that happens to me again by trying to replay anno 1404.
Well, I tested a little bit in the year 1404 and in effect it was because I had 2 antiviruses. I was supporting the initial theory that it was because of Ubisoft's anti-cheat system.
