Is there some way to fix it?
And while I've got this open, The game seems to slow down and semi-freeze after completing a mission.
Semi-freeze being that I can still move the camera.
I think it's caused by Freeze Timer too.
Hello @long geode, May I know where you bought the game from?
Can you try playing on Windowed fullscreen/borderless mode?
Also, please try verifying the game files on Steam, wait for the game to load completely then hit Play on Wemod.
If I verify the files, I'll end up needing to replace them again.
No you won;t have to
Also, I cannot set the windowed fullscreen/borderless mode on it. Mainly as I don't know how and it shows no option for it.
It will just check if the game was installed correctly in will replace the corrupted files on it
I had to use a patch mod just to even play the game.
If you bought it on steam, you should be able to patch it without the mods right?
Here's the issue, The game doesn't run on newer systems.
I'll verify when I have the chance.
Does it freeze even without wemod?
I haven't tested that yet.
Okay, then please let us know once you have tested it. Thanks!
Tested and it's a yes.
And I didn't turn on WeMod either.
Verifying files.
Crashed upon trying to load a save game.
That's why I had the patch mod.
Nothing is going right.
Verifying reset the game back to before I used a patch mod. Game's stuck in full screen and I still freeze when I do optional missions.
To make matters worse, There's no problem for WeMod in the terms of the game semi-freeze.
I see, I have forwarded the issue to our testers so they can investigate.
Thank you.
I'm starting to think even without using WeMod, the games have problems that persist even with the Patch Mods.
If there's ever a day that Prototype and it's sequel get released on GoG, hopefully, GoG ports it better than how it was done.
That is the case dark, It's likely this trainer will be retired. I'll let you know either by the end of the day or tomorrow.
I now feel responsible for the retirement of the trainers. All I brought up was an issue with the WeMod trainer and then I thought the semi-freeze came from the WeMod trainer but that was the game itself even with the patch mod.
If Gog were to release their fixed versions of Prototype and Prototype 2, would the trainer for it be made? Probably doubtful since GoG has other games that are higher priority at the moment. And I keep forgetting about the Popularity System that WeMod has.
If steam releases a fix that works for everyone, the team will revisit it. Right now, the game can't run without other mods.
Don't feel bad if it hadn't been you, someone else would’ve brought it up eventually and we would’ve tested and found the same issue.
I'm just waiting for confirmation. I can let you know later if you'd like.
More likely they'll fix the game themselves. Since they're capable of making old PlayStation games run on Modern PCs.
