but i've got windows 10 verison 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5608)

i've got avast on my PC as well as malwarebytes. not had a problem with either until today. for giggles i tried reinstalling. and i can't even uninstall wemod. the uninstaller doens't open. nor does the installer. so that's weird. guess i just gotta wait for you guys to figure out a fix. good luck.

Hey @manic smelt It's very strange to hear that the uninstaller wont open, Try following these steps and let me know what happens.

Navigate to these three places and, if these folders still exist on your PC, delete them:

C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\WeMod

C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Local\SquirrelTemp

C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

Restart your PC

Download WeMod’s offline installer from this direct link: https://api.wemod.com/client/download Install the software.

Before you launch WeMod, Add the following WeMod folders as exceptions to your antivirus software:

  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

If you are unable to whitelist the entire folders, you may need to whitelist the specific files mentioned below:

  • Update.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeMod.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeModAuxiliaryService.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\app-VERSION_NUMBER\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary

It's likely Avast causing the problems

Have you whitelisted those files on avast?
