and when it says opened game do i have to open the steam version first? (btw trying to use camera mode but have to open the wemod version first)

Hello! Try launching the game on Steam first. Wait until you reach the main menu of the game before you click Play on WeMod.

ok, then what would happen? 2 versions of the game would start at the same time? and i presume i have to stop the steam version in order for me to not get banned 😅

No, it shouldn't open the game again, assuming it detects the game. Otherwise, you'll most likely get another error message.

that didnt resolve it and after closing the app and retry dont work

Try verifying the game files on Steam. Go to your library, then right-click the game. Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the process to finish. Relaunch the WeMod app and then, click Play.
