Try verifying the game files on Steam. Go to your library, then right-click the game. Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the process to finish.
Start the game on Steam and load your game save. Click Play on WeMod once you reach the main menu in the game. Then, activate the mods using hotkeys and try it again in the game.
