Popup Ad Malware?

Is WeMod actually safe or has people’s financial information been compromised?

Reddit thread is very concerning. The ad vendor may have been disabled now, but was anything stolen / machines infected in the time it was active? As a Steam Deck user I’m terrified that it has harvested my PayPal information, Steam account info or worse!
