I can only run the game when I'm using a controller, which is my preferred method, but there are certain times where I would prefer to aim with a mouse. Took me a while to figure out what was causing the crashes, but it's 100% of the time. I have also tried launching the game and mods without connecting a controller, and the game will crash before it finishes launching.
(Not sure if this is the place for this, but I couldn't see anywhere to give game specific feedback).

Are you using mods outside of wemod? If you have time, try verifying the game files on Steam first.
Go to your library, then right-click the game. Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the process to finish, then relaunch the WeMod app.
Launch the game from Steam and wait until you can move in the game. After that, switch to the WeMod app, disable the overlay and click Play.

I am playing the game through GOG. I have tried launching the game first and switching to WeMod and it will crash as soon as WeMod finishes loading the game
