on the picture i attached it says that WeMod has issues with starting the app. i did try doing like on tutorials to make an exception in anti-virus (in my version it is AVG antivirus) or setting it as a safe, unfortunately nothing helps and since i tried installing it over and over it just shows after downloading that WeMod installation crashed mainly because of discord or files that are needed for my pc to work. Manual install doesn't boot up after waiting for couple of minutes. I just need help or anything to help me fix that issue, because i didn't find someone having that kind of issue.

The picture is in polish language, i am sorry for no translation.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with WeMod. To address the problem, you can try the following steps:

  1. Add the following WeMod folders as exceptions to your antivirus software:

    • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WeMod
    • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
  2. Restart WeMod after adding these exceptions.

If you are unable to whitelist the entire folders, you may need to whitelist the specific files mentioned below:

  • Update.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeMod.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod
  • WeModAuxiliaryService.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\app-VERSION_NUMBER\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue. If the problem persists, please let me know, and I'll be glad to assist you further.

I did all the following steps that were shown on the tutorial of someone who faced the same situation, after doing that i restarted WeMod, and like i guessed it didn't work. I did that a couple of times and nothing as far as i know, fixes the issue.

#

I remember that i didn't have that such issue with WeMod before, i launched WeMod 2 days before New year, and it was alright, it broke the next day and i did everything i could, running the game as administrator, checking files integrity, downloading the program again, and again, and anti-virus still thinks the WeMod is containing threats to the computer, even though i highly doubt that.

Is there a way somehow to get a previous version of the WeMod that doesn't need to be updated with the newest versions?

Have you tried uninstalling AVG following those steps and then restarting to try again?

Unfortunately no i didn't since i'm not a good tech guy and my father helped me install the AVG with everything and i fear that i would be without any anti-virus for some time. But how does the AVG flag WeMod right now? it didn't flag it before

#

Or can i somewhere download an older version of WeMod, if it's possible

You don’t really need AVG, windows defender is a perfectly good antivirus and comes with all windows. Which windows are you on? 10 or 11?

If you do want to have a third party antivirus on we normally recommend malwarebytes.

Have you checked your quarantine for any files or folders related to wemod in there.
