Hi, as the title suggests. Is there a way that anyone knows of. To run WeMod through Proton Experimental on the steam deck?
No matter I try. I just cannot for the life of me. Install .net framework 4.8 offline installer. I’ve tried selecting windows 7 in winecfg. The installer starts. But rolls backs as it’s installing, displaying a message - Update did not succeed.
During my own testing. By removing the mono driver through Proton Tricks (uninstaller). This typically allows net framework 4.8 offline installer to succeed. But I’ve only managed to successfully pull this off, when setting the proton version to - GE-Proton-X. It doesn’t matter what GE version I use. It succeeds every time.
I’m assuming this has something to do with proton versions and copyright laws?
