my app crashes whenever i try to load mods

All my games are through steam

And at first i thought it was just stellaris

But i brought dredge today and its doing it for that as well

Im gonna assume its all games

So ive done both the exclusions how do i whitelist

Ive allowed both wemod and the overlay through the firewall

Whitelisting is the same as adding to exclusions. Have you tried it after making the changes?

The app loads the mods for about 2-3 seconds before crashing

If you haven't already, please check the game settings, then game source, and make sure steam is selected. And the mods version must be the latest one as well. Once confirmed, load your game save first, and move around a bit in game, before you click Play in WeMod.

Can you try restarting your PC and the WeMod app later, at your most convenient time? Also, do you receive any error messages when it crashes?

I will restart tonight, regarding error messages nothing. It literally just vanishes like it was never open

So just got up and tried WeMod and it crashed

Tried WeMod for Drill Core and it works fine

So im having specific problems with dredge and stellaris

Are any mods enabled before you click 'Play'? When do you usually encounter the game crash for both trainers? Is it right after you click 'Play,' or after enabling some of the mod options? Sorry for the questions. I'd like to report this, but we need more information to try to replicate the problem.

In the meantime, try verifying the game files on Steam. (Right-click the game > Select Properties > Go to the Installed Files tab, then click 'Verify Integrity of Game Files.' Wait for it to finish, then load the game. Once the game has loaded, click 'Play' on WeMod.)

can I just ask. is there a reason that no one is considering the possibility that this is a WeMod issue? I've had WeMod for a couple of years now and never had issues until just recently, I have had the same computer for the whole time and yet you expect me to believe that its my antivirus or firewall finally kicking in.

also I have uninstalled and reinstalled WeMod, I have verified the integrity of the games that crash WeMod, the games that crash WeMod for me now are: stellaris, dredge and travellers rest. stellaris and travellers rest have both worked in the past no issues.

The reason we continue troubleshooting is to ensure everything is set up correctly before we send the issue to our testing queue. We also need to gather as much information as possible so that our testers can replicate the problem on their end. If we can’t reproduce the issue, it becomes much harder to identify and fix it. Traveller's Rest is already in the testing queue. If the testers confirm that there are broken mods, it will be moved to the creator queue for updates.
