#App keeps setting off windows firewall

I've added wemod as an exclusion to windows defender. I've tried adding it as an exclusion to windows firewall. I run wemod app as administrator. However, randomly (often during play) a popup error will occur telling me the firewall detected that some of wemods functions are in violation. I typically click "allow access" and it goes away. But it interrupts gameplay, (depending on the game this causes a freeze/crash) and nothing I do seems to make this stop happening. The cheats themselves work fine. Its mostly the annoying pop up error that keeps getting me killed in game or crashing the game I want to fix. This started about 2-3 updates ago and no fix has worked so far.

Hey WakahisaSensei, That sounds like a pretty horrible time! Are you just using windows defender? You can also try to add the following to your antivirus software:

  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

  • Update.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • WeMod.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod

  • WeModAuxiliaryService.exe, located in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\WeMod\app-VERSION_NUMBER\resources\app.asar.unpacked\static\unpacked\auxiliary
