#WeMod app doesn't update automatically
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi there! The WeMod app should automatically update when you launch it. Please try to find and remove any WeMod-related files from your PC. Also, delete WeMod from the AppData directory and Squirrel from the temp folder. Then, restart your computer and attempt to reinstall.
Download and install the WeMod offline installer: https://api.wemod.com/client/download
Then try running the installer as an administrator to give it the necessary permissions. See if it helps.
I did this and nothing changed (I install an offline installer of an older version on purpose to see if it will update on its own - it didn't). Also, I don't think you understand what I tried to say - the app behaves as if there's no internet available, when in fact there IS.
The only thing I haven't tried yet (it crossed my mind just now) is to add the updater to the exceptions of the Windows firewall. I've lost my Windows habits cuz I don't use it that often anymore.
We completely understand. That’s why we recommend trying to reinstall the WeMod app. If you haven’t done so yet, please add exclusions for these two folders in your antivirus:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod and C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
