Stellaris Inventory Doesn't Always Work

When using the Stellaris mods, everything works flawlessly, but when I set any of the credits or other inventory and click the checkmark, it only sometimes updates my credits in game. I start with the game paused, I have tried pressing play then hitting the check mark, but it seems random on if it will actually update my credits. Am I using the inventory improperly?

I've heard from the testers, they said that they didn't encounter this before. Resource edit mods in the game always reflected immediately without needing to do anything else. You can try to launch the game on Steam first before clicking Play on WeMod. let me know if that will make a difference.
