#Problem downloading the app.

I attempt to download the app on my windows 10 computer, and the problem displayed happens. I have tried the common steps such as
"Delete WeMod folders"
"Uninstall WeMod"
"Delete SquirrelTemp"
but yet none of there steps seem to resolve the error. I have also tried the offline installer and the same error pops up as soon as I launch it. Any ideas?

Hey there, Have you tried the method below to see if this made a difference?

  • Try to initiate the Run dialog on your PC by using the keyboard shortcut WIN + R.
    -You should see a window will appear.
    -In this window, enter appdata and click the OK button.
    -Then verify the presence of a folder labeled "Squirreltemp" within the "appdata > local" directory.
    -If you do locate a folder named "Squirreltemp," kindly proceed to delete it.
    -Ensure that you only remove the "Squirreltemp" folder and avoid deleting any other files or directories.
    -Make sure to restart your PC Proceed to reinstall WeMod.

Restart your PC
Now, proceed to reinstall WeMod.

Download WeMod’s offline installer from this direct link: https://api.wemod.com/client/download

Then try running the installer as an administrator to give it the necessary permissions. See if it helps.

It seems Discord might be interfering with the process. Try uninstalling Discord, then follow the steps provided again. Restart your PC, reinstall WeMod first, and check if it works. If it does, then reinstall Discord.

That's the problem, discord gives me practically the same setup log when i try to install it. I am currently using discord on my browser. Any suggestions?

I would try some general maintenance on your PC, scan for broken files or any conflicting programs.

When i run the offline installer as admin it tells me to run it without admin permissions.

WHen i run the sfc /scannow command in my cmd, it says i have corrupted files that could not be repaired. I am just now troubleshooting the files. If it works i will get back to you.

Hi, saw the thread and wanna share my insights. If the sfc /scannow command finds corrupted files and says they cannot be repaired, you might want to consider initiating a Windows Update to see if it helps in any way.
