#Question about Horizon's Theme Creator Feature

Does anyone know how to change the thumbnail that gets assigned to your theme in Theme Creator? By default, you get the Horizon logo, which is a telltale sign you're dealing with a modded theme.

I found some amazing repositories on archive dot org with tons of old 360 dashboard themes. Available to me are the theme file, the four images for the theme, and the thumbnail that appears next to the file when viewed from 360 storage. In Horizon, I see how to insert the four main images, but not how to replace the thumbnail with the correct one for the theme. Is this possible to do?

This is looking like it might not be the best place to post in. Could someone point me to the best place for all things 360 modding in 2024?

The 360 modding scene has been dead for years. Your best bet is google but as far as I remember there is no way to change this nor does it matter since that data is stored locally.

Appreciate the reply, Chris! Right, I'm aware the 360 modding scene isn't what it once was but I figured there's still plenty of historical knowledge from people who once dabbled in it back in the day.

I'm a perfectionist so I was hoping to get the official thumbnail that's attached to themes and gamer picture packs when you purchase them from the 360 Marketplace, as opposed to the Horizon logo. Per the link I posted above, you can see that someone stripped out the individual components of a theme, including the thumbnail, so I intuited that there should be a way to replace the thumbnail for an existing theme, perhaps if not Horizon then some other program that could do this. Just to clarify, are you saying there's no way to do this with Horizon specifically or no way to do this with any other program/software either, where I can take a theme, replace the thumbnail image, and reassemble the file in the format that a 360 console expects?

You might be able to do it with the package manager but I'm not too sure. There are other ways to do it manually or maybe a tool like le fluffie lets you do it

Here's what I see in Package Manager. In the Contents tab (picture 2), unfortunately everything is listed EXCEPT the thumbnail. And in the Package Info tab (picture 1), you can Extract, but Replace is grayed out for some reason....we were this close lol...

Hold on, I think I may have figured out a way to do this! Let me try a few times to repeat my steps and I'll post back.
