#whats a trainer?

Hey there! A trainer is essentially a tool that's used to modify the game. No one exactly knows why it's called a trainer though.
Technically, all of the mods on the WeMod app are known as trainers, but we call them mods for simplicity and user-friendly sakes. That, and they also still modify the game, so either "trainer" or "mod" works 🙂
A video game trainer is a software program that allows players to modify various aspects of a video game to their advantage. These trainers are typically created by third-party developers and can be used to cheat, unlock hidden features, or enhance gameplay. Players can use trainers to gain unlimited health, ammo, or in-game currency, as well as access levels or items that are normally difficult to obtain. While trainers can enhance the gaming experience for some players, their use is often considered cheating and can lead to penalties or bans in online multiplayer games.
Back in the day, when online modes weren't a thing, "trainers" were a way to seperate this sort of thing from in-game cheat codes and console codes. In the early days of widespread internet use, if you looked up "cheats", you'd more likely find the actual cheat codes. Whereas "trainer" would direct you to trainers, rather than lists of cheat codes.
