regarding what was previously discussed with me today in one of the support windows
I can't load the mods onto the game, got an error popping every attempt
so I was told, that I had to create a file and place it onto the game's folder, don't know if it is meant to be a txt file
and if it only needs to be named "steamappid", I forgot, I just need clarity on this and can go on my way

Hi there! Yes please, you should add txt file within the game folder and rename it to steam_appid
and launch the game by clicking eldenring.exe and click play on wemod app after the game has finished loading
Alright, let me just save this before I lose it again
@frigid magnetAlso, it's very nice to see another vinland saga fan here
adult thorfinn is just perfect to have as a pfp
Take your time!
Indeed! the famous catchphrase "I have no enemies" says a lot.
I also like askeladd's "I have no friends, only allies"
True! One of the most anticipated character I'd say.
I miss Garm tho, maybe he's in vinland, I suspect that he's the helmet guy with the spear
he is way too cunning.
yea! hope we got an update for the season 3 series
I hope mappa actually does a better job and doesn't cut content and tries to apply itself in putting more detail into the animation
also less CGI
@frigid magnet
I did exactly as told
the only thing I noticed different on the game was that when I opened it
the bandai namco logo was different
it changed on intro
it was now a black screen, red logo, etc
Hey there, Remember where you saved the steam_appid.txt? Find and Double-click eldenring.exe to launch the game directly. (In that folder, not the created shortcut on your desktop) After the game has loaded, switch to WeMod and press Play.
I did that
I did exactly that
didn't work
How about verifying the integrity of game files on Steam and then sending us a screenshot of the changes you made in your game folder?
without a problem
Can you show the changes you made
Make sure you’ve added the correct launch path and are launching it from that.
this is the game folder
It’s not named correctly
hm?
Can you also show the numbers inside the text file
numbers?
Yes, the numbers as mentioned in the read before playing tab
the file itself has nothing written inside them
Please read the read before playing tab
how's the steam_appid file meant to be named then?
Inside that text document, type the number: 1245620
Save the file with the name steam_appid.txt
Make sure the file extension is just .txt and not .txt.txt.
did you named it like double .txt.txt?
I don’t even think you need to put .txt at the end
That’s fine
the txt popped there on its own
anyhow
The number is there
I will attempt again
please bear with me
Make sure you have manually added the game to the app as well
