  1. In the WeMod Application, head over to Settings > General

  2. Change the "Release channel" setting to "Beta"

  3. That's it - you're ready to go!

While we continue to release beta changes to the game page & user experience, we'd love to get your opinions. If you have any ideas, recommendations, or feedback please create a post : ). Thanks for your support! 🤙 wemodapp

I gotta be honest, I really don't like the new UI especially since it removes access to older trainer versions which is needed for certain games where the newest trainer doesn't work (I.E Shadow of war for some reason).

weell i tried outerworlds spacers choice, wouldnt start but now both wemod and epic games show it running, tried epic games but cant shut the game down to restart it , cant play it epic says its running, which its not

# glass wedge It's in beta so they might add the option back in later.

Currently since I'm on the Beta branch and have no access to older trainers I am not able to have fun in some of my games since they're either incompatible with the new trainers or I just feel more comfortable with some older trainers that that work better for me (I.E Shadow of war and TW:W2).

@misty gazelle - Thanks for the feedback! The updated game page is supposed to detect your version of the game and give you the right trainer, which is why we removed the trainer history. The fact that this isn't happening for you is definitely a problem. Is it just Shadow of War and Total War: Warhammer 2 that you're having issues with? If not, can you provide more information on if there are other games that are giving you trouble? Also, please let us know what versions of the games you're using so that we can better diagnose the issue. Our team will do our best to resolve these issues in a timely manner

#

@sour spade - Can you elaborate on the issue you're having. Are you saying that after the most recent update that Outerworlds is having issues starting? Have you seen this behavior with any other games?

The issue is that the trainer history was a nice piece of QOL that made me able to actually use WeMod instead of some random cheat engine table from like 2013 and now it's gone, the ability to go back to an earlier version of the provided cheats was very helpful when in a case such as shadow of war or TW:W2-3 where you might be missing 1 or more DLC's so the newest version of the cheats won't work but an earlier version will.
(also, me using Shadow of war and TW:W2-3 is merely examples, there are many more games with the same issue in my library of games)

As I mentioned above, sometimes you might be missing certain DLC's or updates and then you end up in a sort of "limbo" where you're not on the latest supported version, or WeMod might not be able to read what version the game is on for one reason or another, this means that if you try to use WeMod with a game where you are either missing content or had to manually add the game, you might have to go through multiple earlier versions of the provided cheats before you find a version that's compatible with your game.

#

Being able to use older versions also mean that people like me who end up that "limbo" state won't have to go out and download a cheat engine table from multiple years ago that might not even work.

I have the beta as well thinking it would fix my problem with sker ritual crashing within 15 mins of every game without fail but personally I like the UI but think there should be an option to choose what version of trainer to run still

@misty gazelle - Thanks for the info! You helped us identify an issue where we weren't detecting the game version for games added manually. We just pushed a fix to beta to address that. Would you mind checking and seeing if it resolves your issue?

misty gazelle

# wicked tundra Why do you say that?

From what I've gathered (which is admittedly not very much to be honest) the underlying issue is that there will be games where you will need an older version of cheats and the removal of the cheat history will undoubtedly affect certain games, making WeMod less useful than a random cheat table from 2013 (just an example) since the cheats from 2013 will work while the new ones will not.

The list has been removed but the trainers still exists.

#

The app will still pick the version of the trainer that best fits your game version 🙂

#

The crux of the matter is that the automatic detection is not perfect and the user will have to be able to select a trainer version that works for them, it took me a while just to find the one that worked for TW:W2 as an example ( the one from 19/07/2021 ) which I will not be able to pick now due to the automatic detection, thusly forcing me to find an old dusty cheat engine table.

#

"The list has been hidden but the trainers have not been removed"
I am still not clear on why it was necessary to hide the history in the first place.

I agree with everything said here. There was one cheat that worked on a previous version of a game I play. Then, the cheat was removed on later versions but it was still working, so I could just change versions to access that. Now you tell me the LIST IS HIDDEN but I cant acess cause... auto detection?

#

I joined this server cause I was looking for the history button, I now regret having installed the update cause it just really screwed me over..

#

Like... so the trainer is there... but I cant access cause ''hey, use these cheats instead'' but... there is one that isnt on the list but I can still use- "no but your game version works with these''

#

Like... thanks for removing options from me?

wicked tundra
#

Are you referring to Vrising?

grim arrow
#

no, idling to rule the gods

#

in the latest version, the two mods work, but there was one for unlimited god power which only worked on one version, the last version before changing to only two, and now I wont have access to that anymore

#

and my wemod is on stable, so I'm not even suppose to be on this beta branch

#

if they exist, why remove my ability to access them?? Why not keep the auto detection but still allow us to history?

#

Why is it such a bad thing for us to have access to previous versions which might have cheats that still work?

wicked tundra
#

The update was released to stable. As for those mods, they should have been removed from all trainers not just the latest

grim arrow
#

well, they werent, they were in a previous version and it was working fine

#

now I wont have access cause you said we cant have it cause... ''your game is updated so... tough luck''

#

I still dont understand why it's a bad thing for us to have access to history or why it's a ''QoL change'' to have auto detection and no more access to something you just said it still exists

wicked tundra
#

Auto detection has always been a core feature of WeMod and is not a recent addition. Our primary goal is to ensure WeMod selects the best trainer for your game versions. We value your feedback and will consider it for future updates. However, even if we add back the ability to select a specific version, you will not be able to access the god power mod. This feature was originally implemented before microtransactions were introduced to the game and was subsequently removed from newer trainers. Its presence in older trainers was an oversight that has now been corrected.

#

I mean.. we pay for Wemod so we don't have to pay for things in game, no?

wicked tundra
#

WeMod cannot interfere with microtransactions

#

Any mods found to be doing so will be removed immidately

shut cargo
#

Then why pay for Wemod?

#

Garbage logic.

wicked tundra
#

WeMod was created to help players enjoy their games which happens in many ways. Unfortunately, one of those ways cannot be by helping players bypass microtransactions.

wait so the history function allowing you to use previous versions of trainers is gone? I couldn't find it anywhere and after reading some of the messages on here y'all have just removed it? There's no way to access it anymore?

WeMod does not automatically adjust to the version of the game. Please return the selection of previous versions of the mod

"Auto detection has always been a core feature of WeMod and is not a recent addition. Our primary goal is to ensure WeMod selects the best trainer for your game versions." More often than not the so-called "best version" is not the one that was automatically detected, this leads to users of Wemod to not have the cheats or trainer functions that have worked for them accessible to them for no logical reason what-so-ever.

Please see our announcement there for news about the history tab.
