When i try to activate the mod, whether the game is playing or not, it says "add game" and i do have it and have had it for years. when i expand the "add game" thingy it says this picture. when i add the .exe, whether its fallout4.exe (which i had to rename to "fallout4launcher" or else the game wouldnt start at all) or FalloutLauncher1.exe (had to for same reason), first one would not even register as starting and do nothing, second would open the normal start menu where you can change to windowed and bordeless and graphic settings etc, but when pressing play the same menu keeps popping up over and over.

Hey there. Here's what I would suggest. Firstly, rename everything back to what it should be, then do the following
- Add fallout4.exe as the manual .exe file
- Launch the game through normal means (launch it through Steam/Xbox first)
- Get to the game's main menu
- Click Play while on the main menu (or after you've loaded into a save)
See how you go there
thats where the first problem occured, without the renaming of the files the game dont start, i press play on steam, get the first startup menu, press play, it closes then the game crashes before anything pops up and the "playing" button on steam turns into "play".
When you say "get the first startup menu", do you mean the small window before the game launches to the main menu?
If so, try going to the main menu first, where you can load your save game, then click Play in WeMod

Okay, that might also be a case of the fact that the game was updated and needs to be tested by our testers. If they can confirm there's an issue with the game, and it goes into the queue to be updated, that might fix the issue.
i wonder if it has anything to do with me not being able to start the game at all until i chance the name. somethings off.
Agreed. Maybe verify your game files, and/or re-install the game
i reinstalled the game and it seems to be working, both starting the game and the wemod.
