everytime i try to launch dreamlight valley it says " We're having trouble starting or finding your opened game" i have uninstalled and reinstalled Wemod, Dreamlight Valley, and the Xbox app

The trainer has recently been updated. To ensure you're using the latest version, simply click on the History tab and select the most recent update of the trainer.

yes i have done that and it still doesnt work

ive also used the EXE and tried to do that but it still does not work and it says i do not have permissions to do so

im so frustrated bc i pay way too much for wemod for how much it doesnt work for me at all

Are you linking the correct exe?

You can also try to add wemod to your AV exceptions.

Your antivirus software may be interfering with WeMod. Try whitelisting or adding any exception for these two folders:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod and C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod

ive also tried dragging and dropping them in and it still gives the same error

You can try to run wemod as an admin or find the file through your file explorer.

It may be a permission issue because you are trying to open the file through wemod.

A good way to confirm you are pairing the correct exe is opening your task manager when the games running and click open file location while its running.

it says i dont have permissions to run as admin and i cannot edit anything under security

mine is saying the same thing -- the only reason i pay for WeMod is for this particular game. Did you figure out how it gets fixed?

trying to even trying to "launch without mods" isn't working through the WeMod app either. hmm

Okay, so i got it to work & it was so simple that i feel stupid LOL.
I logged out of steam, then restarted pc, logged back into steam, then went into wemod and was able to get the game to open.
Now my DDV is updated & the mods in wemod are also updated - however, it will still crash randomly every once in a while (which is weird bc everything is updated) but at least it works.

Are you a guest user on the pc? Or is your account the only one on there.

I use it through the xbox app though not steam. my account is the only account on the pc

i also tried logging out of xbox restarting my pc then logging back into the xbox app and that still hasnt fixed it

logging out wont fix that, It's an administrative issue, It's something on your PC. Thats why i asked if you were the only user on the PC. The fact you cant even run wemod as an admin indicates its something on your pc.

You would see these things happens when its a guest user on the PC and not the Admin

I can run wemod as admin but that doesnt make a difference, i cant run DDV as admin

Have you tried opening the file location through the task manager to verify that is the correct exe

hi, I have a question, I play on PC and mod 5 (items will not decrease) does not work, is this normal?

Try going to the file location of DDV then right click the exe file -> go to properties -> then go to compatability, in the properties window there should now be multiple checkboxes, click the one called "Run this program as an administrator". Then Apply in the bottom right of the window and then OK. This should make it so that the game always runs as an administrator

I am literally about to cancel my subscription bc Wemod will not work with my Dreamlight Valley and it also broke my BG3

not sure how to do that, i feel like i should also note that when i have dreamlight valley unistalled but wemod is installed it shows the play button rather than showing that i dont have the game so im assuming the problem resides somewhere directly with wemod

Open the Xbox app for Windows.
In My Library, select the game title.
Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.
Select Files and then Verify and repair.
These are the instructions for verifying file integrity

Strange, welp at least I tried helping you further but at this point I don't know what else to do since you already have wemod as an exception for your Antivirus and also adding the exe to wemod. The only other thing I can think of which might fix the issue is reinstalling wemod and/or DDV to see if that fixes it

maybe a windows file is corrupt

majority of the time its an AV/Admin issue.

yeah so checking the system files would be good as windows most of the time can fix them by itself, if you want to do this open the command prompt as an administrator, then run the following command without quotations "sfc /scannow"

I just downloaded wemod for dreamlight valley and every single mod listed says to press Play to use the mod. I pressed play and the game loaded but I still can't access the sliders to turn any mods on or off. I'm very confused
