I'm posting this here as there's no discussion page for this game.
When playing through the GDI campaign, everything works mostly as intended. Though 'God Mode' doesn't always cover some critical units that spawn right at the beginning of a level. It also doesn't cover guest units from another faction called The Fallen. They are almost always mission critical.
When playing through the Nod campaign, the same problem crops up with guest units and Fallen allies. But the bigger problem is that while the first few missions run as expected while fighting against other Nod forces, as soon as you start battling against GDI, the 'God Mode' mod also applies to nearly every GDI unit and structure you're fighting. Even stranger is that the effect doesn't turn off unless you back all the way out to the main menu, and disable the mods before loading back in. This has even caused the game to glitch out and crash a couple of times in the mission 'Blackout'
