Boy howdy do I feel weird coming to strange discords! Hello, my name is Minty. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I see you have a very lovely little community here, so I won't bother you all for too long.

I'm not sure if this is allowed here, but I'm trying to find a modder from back in 2016? He went by the moderator title "Derek"? https://community.wemod.com/u/Derek He made this post way back in 2013 https://community.wemod.com/t/horizon-how-to-mod-dmc-devil-may-cry/2739 and it seems to be the only way way to actively change the game's difficulty without achieving it. Unfortunately the download link leads straight to a trojan.

Truth of the matter is I did achieve it, albeit back in 2013 when the game first came out, and long story short I'm jonesing to replay it at Heaven or Hell difficulty, but as you can no doubt surmise? That's proving to be difficult. I've dodged a good four viruses tonight alone, subscribed to a really shifting looking anime website that predates anything I've ever seen, and downloaded about seven different Indian youtuber's game files (followed promptly by a FULL pc scan) only to find this game somehow detects whether or not the game file is the steam user's file (My money's on the slimey looking "Steam User ID" txt file in the game's internal files - but downside is the save files are all un-editable data).

Anyway, that's how I got here. Hope you are all having a lovely day, and a wonderful evening.

Wemod is not malware, ive poured over it and any data it sends and receives on multiple versions of windows patched and unpatched. Its a legitimate piece of software and a legitimate business which is why there is a fee for pro and diamond which add convenience features

#

Anything that hooks into another program, dll or modifies values in memory can be seen as malware. Trainers can do all of these things and yes some..most are malware of some type but wemod is benign

Fully understandable, i was skeptical as well because of all the BS trainers out there

Ive been using it for about 6 months or so and its never done anything it shouldn't. Its actually a good idea, make trainers people can trust, compile them into a easy to use program for free then charge for ease of life features. I think the price is a little high...maybe $30 a year would be more reasonable but maintaining trainers can be a significant amount of work simply because of the sheer number of games released and how they tend to break trainers on purpose with every little patch

I understand their reasoning for multiplayer games or games that have a big mp aspect but it boggles my mind when they break them purpose in single player titles

@olive sorrel I apologize if I am breaking rule 6 and 11; I wanted to make a statement, at least, (might sound like a request which is why I mention rule 6) but I am not sure if I am in right channel. I only use 3 Trainers EDF 4.1, Halo Spartan Assault, and Starbound they are all out of date which is disheartening, luckily the First 2 still work somewhat which is all I need.
