#Give engineers points for when their barricades are destroyed

It's wasting the enemy team's time at worst, or blocking a swing in a melee at best - incentivices playing the objective even more as a shovel knight.

I kind of agree with you, but at the same time they can mean the difference between losing and winning an objective. Maps like askandir, stronghold, falmire and lionspire become way harder to win for the enemy if you block the objectives with barricades. I have won many a match solely from covering DO’s (Destroyable objectives) with barricades as it means that even if an enemy does break through, they still have to spend time breaking the barricades, and face their back to your team, making certain objectives near impossible when they are used correctly.

The engineer can be very influential but the point difference in a match loss is, IIRC, 750 for winning, 500 for losing. Not really enough points to make playing the engineer feasible points-wise.

Yeah but engineer has some of the best (in my opinion) weapons in the game, the shovel and pickaxe.

That alone makes it quite viable, and usually I won’t even place my barricades anyway, and get 5-6000 scores easily
