For the life of me I cannot understand why this was nerfed. Bear traps since this patch are no longer immediately active, but have some sort of arming period. Not that I could find anything about it in the patch notes. I cant think of a single good reason why. Not only this, but you cannot place it down anywhere near a teammate. This frequently leads to you running around being stuck in placement mode. Near the front you'll just get hit and cant fight back, or be forced to place it somewhere undesirable. I thought this was tied to barricades and spike traps to prevent griefing, but it isnt. It is only the bear trap that has this limitation. You cannot stop or block your teammates in any meaningful way. Again, why? Spike traps and barricades can be damaged but have enough health that you can pick and replace at full health(intentional or game design limitation?). Bear traps do not have such luxury. It gets destroyed in one hit. Any hit. Even teammates destroy them unknownlingly. If anybody overheads in that area its getting destroyed. If anyone hits the ground to avoid miss recovery its getting destroyed. Bear trap is extremely niche tool. Not good enough to use over spike traps in any competitive environment. Its so bad its only use is to trick people into running into it for a free hit, because thats always funny. But you've made that difficult, with adding an arming time and being unable to place it down if an ally is nearby.

I think that's the point of nerfing it into the ground.

If that was intentional then I'd like to hear the reasoning why. As theres nothing about it in the patch notes. Delayed activation I can deal with, being unable to place it down if a teammate is nearby I hate. Even that is inconsistent. Explain
