I am new here so I apologize if this suggestion has been made before. Before Chivalry 2 I played a ton of Warband NW expansion, as well as Movie Battles 2 a massively expansive mod for Jedi Academy. Both of those games are in the same genre as this one, which I would define as melee combat simulators. I also played Chivalry 1 a bit on the Xbox, but I was never good. I believe a large portion of this community is comprised of players who have migrated here from other similar titles of the past.
I always spent most of my time in FFA/Duel lobbies, since I am a competitive player and I want to face off against the best players the community has to offer. The focus of these lobbies was always on the individual fights between players, even in non-dueling servers. Crucially, the match would end only after the next map was voted on. Unless someone managed to dominate the server and create a large margin between their kill-count and the next guy down, there was never supposed to be a clear winner of the match. Because you were supposed to care more about the individual fights as a test of you and your opponent's skill level. Even in group fights.
In Chivalry 2 FFA lobbies and most of the time in dueling servers it seems the objective is a race to the top of the leaderboard and to gain 35+ kills to end the match as quickly as possible. I would say that the experience I have had with this method of ending the matches has been way less fun than if the matches were to end after a map vote or after a couple hundred kills from the leader. In my opinion, this promotes less skillful gameplay.
TL;DR: Please make the FFA matches 30 minutes or longer, please create a map voting system that allows us to end a match early, consider making FFA matches last until the next map is voted on, all in order to promote skillful gameplay and less toxicity.
