Not positive on the source of the issue but the South Africa servers are based in Johannesburg and there's currently a power outage in some areas there.
This could be the cause, as a similar situation happened previously.

Ye Loadshedding (power cuts) is a big issue here that our government has due to low amounts of electricity
thing is, ive been checking ever since i saw they're not there and i never see them + even when i knew there was loadshedding happening there servers were still there
