Max zombies on Blood moon (1 Person). Have tested with 2 and still holds up as really overpowered. For Horde base this is all you need. Works vanilla too. Pillars underneath you dont get touched.
Pros:
Loot whilst kill
Can repair whilst holding out
Succubus immune from clipping
Early Gamestages still holds up with basic materials I.E cobble / concrete and standard steel if you have electric fence posts.
Cons:
Scifi hatches are too buggy on darkness falls. I had them at the back where i was standing and steel at front. Steel still held well.
Don't bring a drone, i've shot the drone soo many times with explosive arrows and blew myself up
Behemoth demos, stand far back and spam your explosive crossbow otherwise goodbye
Put a bed inside, and some lockable safes and you good to store loot / scrap
