@midnight halo That particular issue is usually when steam fails to connect properly. Restarting the client usually solves it, though sometimes restarting steam is needed too.

Manual server selection is not something you can do. Ideally you should play in your own region, hence the wait, so it gives you as much opportunity as possible to get a good low latency match in your local region.

PUBG eats about 60% on my 8600k, that's across 6 cores. COD eats 80%, Battlefield 70-80%. Engines tend to use as much resources as they can. More resources available generally = the more it will try to allocate to itself to process stuff quicker in the background

With so many players reporting it, I can't answer that for every one

some it's a mixture of the game dropping to 1 FPS and staying that way until they inevitably get kicked from the server. Others the match making clock is stuck and the plane won't start. Some people are crashing while parachuting. Others in the middle of the game.

One person has provided the error message of "error 6.2.6 a2f4f3"

It all seems to vary for the cause. But the main thing in combination seems to be that it started happening a few hours ago

Also, @celest panther - as @wise turtle said - i suffer from that same issue of the game just not wanting to launch from steam, sometimes it starts immediately - others i have to click play like 9 times lol. Kinda just learnt to live with it. Started happening after the patch which reverted audio.

I know 1903 did have issues with BE early on, specifically with actually loading the kernel driver.

I was actually thinking of straight up reverting to a lower build soon anyway - something like 1709, or 1803, whichever is the lowest Turing supports

Yeah. 1903 in it's current state - is stable - but seems to have more issues than are worth investigating, especially with already existent functionality magically breaking with new updates lol.

Probably a combination of players being more densly packed towards the end-game (since, well, literally 50+ are from phase 4-6), which causes issues with performance. One of the other possible reasons being all the assets that those players bring with them (all their weapons, nades, smokes, vehicles etc.)

Many games would crumble with the same problem

So it isn't just a PUBG issue either

In GLL and such the teams are soooo tightly packed in such small areas. Literally a compound away from eachother. Take into account all the fights going on, all the third-partying, having to draw all the high-detailed player assets etc. and it adds up

Plus - GLL and those tournaments, teams have a vehicle per person most of the time, or multiple vehicles. Again, adds up

#

Not many games would handle it anywhere near as good as PUBG does, which is the sad thing

#

Battlefield handles it decently, but that's minus all the buildings, compounds and vehicles - and generally has much smaller maps

#

So once you think about it - that's ALOT of drawcalls to be making

he's trying to say because a lot of stuff happens like smokes and crap in the final stages of competitive PUBG, it goes harder on the machines than it does on a noob game

if your PC lags hard when you play competitively or whatever, you need to learn how to fine tune it or get a better PC, because this isn't exactly the least intensive game
