So, I just did a clean install of pubg.
Then I opened pubg and all the credits stuff pops up as usual and then it gets to the pubg logo screen.
So I wait around 2 seconds and then the music starts (as usual)
But it never gets past that. So I guess that it's a one time bug and I should restart pubg.
And after all that happens again, I come to the same problem.
So I try clicking, and some how, where the settings logo/button used to be, I can click it and it opens settings.
I try reload lobby, no changes, So I do 3 more full re-installs and I still have this problem
"Full reinstall" as in deleting the game file from steamapps and %localappdata%

Alot of times i cant hear enemys or in generall sounds that are behind me or in any way not in my direct fov
its really annoying if you are 5 players left and cant hear an enemy SPRINTING and JUMPING behind me
and i had 3 games now where i shot an enemy at 750-800meters and i hit him right in the face with k98 and with awm but there wasnt a blood animation for the hit. it didnt even hit officially. In case there was just a ground hit animation. But when i watched the replay the shot hit the enemys HEAD 2 times and the body 3 times

The sounds in this game is not very good. Most of the time, if you stand still and dont move your head, gunshots and footsteps can sound like they are ahead of you, even if its behind you. Im not sure if there is some surround sound settings Ive missed, or if there is a conflict between the windows sound system and the game, but something isnt right.
The hits not registering could be because of lag, bad hit-registration or simply bugs with the replay function.

@patent whale Følsvik#3105 Thats not really any "help me" but ill bite. Make sure your pc meets the requirments. (I have a 1080 and ryzen 1700x, I lag too.) or wait for them to release a lot of crates so they turn their focus into optimizing their game.
@final crow Check if there are others who have issues after the latest update. They did this once before aswell, where a update reduced FPS by a lot, on most computers.

Hey...so I'm not on my home PC right now, but I'm having issues when playing PUBG. Solo games work fine, but about 70% of the time I go into a squad game I end up crashing on the black loading screen during the lobby, and even if I keep waiting it never comes back. If I force close PUBG and restart it, it lets me into the game that I've already started about 50% of the time.
I've tried a full reinstall, disabling, windows defender, updating all drivers, etc

Hi, is it intentional that the menu screen is putting more load on the gpu that the game itself when playing? had to lower powerlimit to 80% to not crash in menu (gtx 1080) during menu power limit warning constantly on while ingame very rarely. other games have no problems

I've also had a user who had that problem who resolved it by deleting the contents of their configuration folder (resetting all in-game settings and keybindings) and this resolved the problem for them.
To do this, press Windows + R and enter "%localappdata%\TslGame" delete the "Saved" folder then run the game

as i said, every machine performs differently. Every cpu /gpu chip is not 100% the same
some will perform slightly worse..some are older, some machines have less background processes

well.. disabling the fps counter.. does seem to feel "very slightly" smoother
but I don't know if it is actually really boosting it. 😛
