Giving the option to pre-cache certain types of resources would help with the stuttering and lags for lots of players (especially when you have lots of memory but no SSD)
So you'd for example keep the inventory icons loaded in memory all the time instead of streaming them in and out constantly, those little icons don't take much memory in the first place

It's kind of weird ,but I've built a few pcs and never had this issue. But my friend built his first pc and it's so strange. Basically once OS is installed discord starts but closes instantly, steam starts and closes. Tried to install league, it bugsplats right after starting. I thought maybe it was issue with .net framework so installed all those libraries, tried new ram, new ssd, tried different hdd altogether, tried new mobo, tried no gpu with gpu literally tried everything except new cpu and the builds only 3-4 weeks old

Also guys, if you ever messed with .ini files before the file change restrictions were put in, you might want to clear them for a clean install. I know some say they didn't get any boosts from updates but that seems to fix the issues for some.

I played a game of duo where it said network lag detected and everyone was walking in place while my friend on discord got the same thing then it said connection closed and we lost all progress in the game, the next couple of games there was on and off network lag detected interupting gun fights which this all occured in the past hour

do one thing for me, remove all launching options on Steam if you have any, put some options like AA on ultra, maybe also render distance. BEFORE that though, remove all your .ini files and after that verify the game files on Steam so steam downloads those again.

Honestly, I would do a clean install of the game. Uninstall from steam then search for TslGame on your PC and delete any remaining files. Reinstall

@viral monolith it sounds to me like your graphics card is not working properly while in game. Does the fan work at all? Try to set it manually to 80-90%, it will be loud but it's just for testing.

@viral monolith PUBG relies a lot on the processor. To calculate shots, world destruction, etc. It is probably making your CPU so hot it starts slowing down so it doesn't damage itself and that's why your performance is bad.
Also, the other games running fine, does not mean it's ok.
Your CPU is probably still getting hot, but because they are less CPU dependant, they run fine.
You need to confirm your CPU cooler is working and I would highly suggest to replace the thermal paste.
if that doesn't make it better, you need a new CPU cooler.
