Guys i set my screen scale to 120 but i still see a bit of blurriness when anti aliasing is on medium/high so i just keep it on very low. What other settings can i change to make it so there is no blurriness whatsoever when anti aliasing is not on very low

Pubg uses fxaa. Which is basically nothing but blurr. So you'll have to stick with it until they decide to add other aa options

FXAA ( which PUBG Uses ) Is just blurr . you get less blurr by running AA on low. Alternatively running reshade with the sharpening plugin.

Hello all - Game has been black screening midway through every match since Sunday morning. Trying to figure out why. Specs: Nvidia GTX 660 2gb /// intel i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Quad Core (3.4GHz) /// 16GB RAM /// Windows 7 64-bit. All I have tried is updating my GPU drivers and turning settings down in game, as well as some suggested launch parameters I found through my Googling.
Trying to determine what my bottleneck is - some friends think it's GPU but I know my CPU is pretty dang old as well. Any help will be rewarded with internet hugs

If its sound in general, check your mic settings in sound options, if its the ingame chat, that would be new to me, check if the files are valid by verifying the integrity of the game cashe in steam>library>pubg>properties>local files

Trying out the test server and noticing GPU load is still extremely low which is causing FPS to also be low. In starting lobby (not in a game) my GPU load is 90%+ but Ingame it drops to about 30%. Not sure if it's because of other players or what's happening but is there any options or fixes to do with this? As it stands right now GPU Load is the only reason my fps is low. :/

In the home lobby it sits at about that, and if there's 20-30 people in the ingame lobby it'll sit at about 90%, the more people join the lower the load gets = lower my fps gets :/
using a 1080 btw, my friend using an older card was hitting 90%+ all the time but he had lower fps than me so idk

Last months big update caused me to have some resolution issues. I used to play on 1280x960 (I think it was) but with the new update on that resolution I couldn't see my whole inventory, so I was forced to play on 1280x768, which is not very great. Its likely a screen scaling issue with the inventory overlay, I would wait a day for the patch thats coming out and see what happens to it, if it fixes itself then it was just a bug that was squashed, but if someone knows of an .ini edit or something you could try that

A standerd thing when troubleshooting, process of elimination. Try turning your resolution down to 1080p or just something that is not 4k and try again. If that doesn't work then you can for sure say the resolution is not the issue. Then go from there and post your computer specs etc for more help

This might not solve the issue straight away, but have you run Ccleaner? There have been a lot of crazy issues solved just by running the program and rebooting and trying the game again. A lot of possibilites really.

Try bringing up Task manager and put that on the 2nd monitor that will make it easier to close the game instead of locking up your whole computer etc. That's not a fix, just trying to make it less rage inducing for you. Try the scan and see what you come up with, I'll do some thinking in the meantime

True on stable. I wouldn't base anything off of test server yet. I know your other games work fine, but I had a guy run memtest86 overnight to stress his ram and he actually had a faulty stick. His other games worked fine as well. I contributed it to PUBG running different memory allocations. Have you tried memtest?

I mean, there are the basic steps checking power cables, reseating ram, gpu, reset factory clock speeds, etc etc...but if all your other games work no problem...that kernel error is most likely just the pc not shutting down correctly like a power surge or manually powering down without "shutting down" etc etc...Could be the power supply if it keeps doing it, but I don't think it has any relevance to PUBG

Ok on hdd I low level format before install, ssd not necessary because of flash memory, but an extra step is to use the ssd software or another to erase drive then clean install. It most likely won't let you flash it in your system, I have a external usb enclosure I use. At least choose clean install.

@limber umbra Only reason I ask is because the difference for the people that had them completely off is night and day since they were not used to them at all. There has been a lot of reports of other players experiencing a darker than normal game appearance as well. The team is aware of the issue. For the time being, does turning your brightness up in game give you better results?

@digital glen No, I did not.. but should I delete the ini file and see if that helps? Only problem with that is I dont want to lose my keybinds :(
also, Its not that the game is darker as a whole, because outside the game is actually BRIGHTER than what it used to be. But the shadows on my character are darker than they were before, and indoors its really dark and odd.

4.5 is above avg really depends on temps. i run my 4670k at 4.2 and rarely go over 60c so theres still room

Best suggestion is to take a pic with your phone or screenshot them so you can set them right back @limber umbra I don't know if there is another way because you are basically erasing the file that holds them

this is my second game after the update and the game freezes every time i leave a game in the loading screen

I know a lot of people use it, but I personally don't. It does make it look sharp, but After an update, if you run into problems, it's just one more thing to troubleshoot to figure out. Also it doesn't have a proper un-installer to it, which I don't like

like when i leave the game i died in, the pixels in the loading screen look a bit weird and it just doesnt load
cant press quit game or options
its just stuck
and when i alt tab my screen goes black and i can only see my mouse cursor
i cntrl alt delete but when i open task manager i cant use it because its also stuck
and i cant see it now
so only option is to restart from cntrl alt delte

They are working on a fix and gathering a plethora of data from the crash reports (auto crash reporter feature in PUBG) and crash logs people are sending in. I have no timeline on the next patch, but wouldn't be surprised if one appeared tomo. Just my guess, no official info

i was able to get through 2 games which was never possible before doing it
gonna play some more when some friends log on and ill tell you if i crash
like i would always crash when i left a game
