@Ollie#5879 try upping your graphical settings a little. One of the recent patches allowed the game to utilise the GPU more efficiently and we have seen issues where people are still playing on low settings and by upping them it has solved the issue.

@mild otter is the issue happening right from the start?

Also, are you able to run whilst this is happening. Your description sounds like you're 3rd person aiming (holding right mouse button) and you have it positioned over your left shoulder.

Well it varries person to person. It is too much of a mix to warrant, the only recommendation to issue is to test different launch option combinations or none at all.

@clever shale @quiet grove I confirmed that... removing startup options and setting all to Ultra, only Distance View on Medium and Effects on Very low... I got at least 50 fps incrase! Now i'm running a match while rain with at least 80 fps... TY GUYS!

Nvidia control panel, switching resolutions, full screen to windowed back to full screen, alttabbing, turning off second monitor. Thing is I played a few matches, closed the game and came back on after 15 minutes and got the black bars lol

Obviously the physical boxes that host the matches don't get restarted, and are subject to memory leaks and/or other issues which just exists. Guessing the issue would resolve itself in time, with the server host software being improved, and I'm sure it is something the devs have already been over...

The specs are fine. Very similar to mine which is more than adequate. It also worked great for about a week. I did teamviewer to monitor the temps. Everything was good. Had them reinstall the game as well.

Most common reason for crashes like she's having is something overheating so the computer reboots or powers off to not damage anything. That wasn't the issue here

It's an AMD R9 290? I think. It was my old card. No blue screen. That was the first thing I asked about.

@cyan robin Everything run smooth after start of match (well, at least with 40 - 50 fps) don't matter if i down all my settings or not, i getting low fps... but it isn't unplayable right now... just at start of match, my textures didn't load normally... so i've to wait at least 30 seconds to everything load, only after it i can get stuff... most times i'm killed at this time! Or i open parachute early to give time of texture loading... but when i touch ground, all guys already have a gun... so it's too hard to play alone!

The last patch made me lose fps, and the drops I get are way more severe. at the worst points I get 5-10 seconds of 0 fps

unparking my CPU cores did alleviate the problem, but some games requires me to lower the resolution to the lowest possible. I'm stoked for the monthly patch all things considered

Read only means, anything modified within the game settings will go back to the original settings you tweaked/pasted in the .ini files affter you restart the game. Hence "read only" not write and read. There is absolutely no point in having any of those files in read only.

Hello everyone! I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same: any particle effect (blood spatters, grenade explosing, shooting a gun, etc) causes massive fps drops. Well, I did test using fast.com while it was coming in just to see what I was at, but it never changed

And during the "Network LAg Detected" error. Nothing appeared to change on the monitoring sites. Then it just releases after 2-3 minutes if I have not been killed. And the game runs smooth

But I never had any connection issues to a game before lol. Unless it's because my NAT is Moderate, but I doubt that

I get a 70-76ms ping from the Virginia Servers. and nothing was running during testing. Then..after 2-3 minutes, it unlocks the game.

@inland mist Hello. So a lot of people are getting confused regarding the locking in game. Although you may have a good ping this doesn't guarantee that you have a good outgoing connection overall. Ping responses you get from websites are unreliable for testing these types of issues for a few reasons.

1. They generally will not be testing the actual servers you will be playing on
2. The network route that the test takes will not be the same as the route used for you playing on the servers
3. The ping value returned is an the average value over a small amount of time.

You get frozen in place when you are dropping packets, not when you have a large ping.

Because after 2-3 minutes, it unlocks and there's no issue for the rest of the game.

There are multiple things which could be causing the issue, not that you're the only one.

It is absolutely your issue, the game only freezes your character when it detects it hasn't recieved any information from your client in a set amount of time.

@inland mist I've also had an issue similar to yours when I played Arma 3. Almost exactly like yours, but they didn't lag switch lock back then, (if they do now) I did 5.2 million steps on my own (slight exaggeration) and finally threw in the towel and called my isp. I threw some techno bable at the level 1 tech which pushed me to level 2 tech. We ran tests, and I could see the problem. When the data was hoping along the way, there was a certain backbone the data hit from the return of the server, and it crushed me before clearing up later down the path. They got me to level 3 tech, and switched my routing to avoid that data center. Problem solved. Still missing 4 fingernails, and 1/2 my hair from that issue

They can even monitor your connection live while your on the phone, and see exactly where and what's hanging it up when you run the game. I just made small talk with the level 3 tech and he had me load up Arma 3 and get into a match. Pinpointed it exactly.
