Is it possible to patch backed up games on my SD card with wii link on my wii? If so, please help.

I can't find anything on this online and maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough, but it feels like I can't get a straight answer.

Well yea kinda cuz I added wads on my homepage for my games from usb loader gx but I can’t figure out if I can patch them to play online or if you can only play online with physical copies of games in the disc drive

I’m not really too sure how most of this works

do you mean channels or disc games? you say "wads" but also mention "physical copies of games"

for backups, you should just need to search for the title here, then download the cheat: https://wfc.wiilink24.com/setup

Are u sure, cuz even on the page that u sent, it says to put the corresponding game in the disc slot

So what I’ve been trying to figure out is if the patches only work for physical copies of games or if there’s a way to get WFC for backups of games on usb loader gx

Actually so I just went and successfully set up wiilink and everything on my Wii rn. But when I went to go try what you just sent with Mario kart it didn’t work but gave no error when launching the game, it just wouldn’t let me connect to WFC when I tried loading in and game me the in game error saying that it isn’t able to connect to the internet with the error code 20100

But it didn’t crash or anything

Exactly what I did was I went and downloaded the correct version of the gct for the game ID, then put it in the folder named “codes” on the root of my sd card, then followed the steps given to change the settings in usb loader gx for the specified game
