why dont you just use the SD slot on the wii

#

its not recommended to use a USB SD adapter on the wii

I only have a 4gb

#

ok get better storage then

#

How big is the SD you're using in the USB adapter?

#

Can't you just use that in the SD slot

lilac tiger
#

32gb

sand raptor
#

Just use that and forget the 4gb sd

lilac tiger
#

But i dont have a adapter and only 0.01gb is free

#

Meaning no spafe for homebrew apps

#

Why do wii games work but no gc

sand raptor
#

How is the SD formatted

lilac tiger
#

Fat32

#

Also why doesnt usbloadergx work with the top usb slot

sand raptor
#

d2x-cios can only load from port0. USB Loader GX and other homebrew apps use d2x-cios

#

But why is sd to usb unreliable

sand raptor
#

the USB controller in it is similar to a flash drive and loaders/cios have compatibility issues with them

#

I've also seen reports of those sd/usb adapters getting hot and falling apart when used constantly on the wii

Its basically a ssd enclousre with a sd card sloy

sand raptor
#

anyway i suggest not using this sd reader

lilac tiger
#

As long as it doesnt kill sd cards

#

Im fine

sand raptor
#

theres a chance the SD will be corrupted and you'll lose all the data on it

#

But you should be able to format it again and keep using it

#

if you insist on using it, connect it to a PC and open Disk Management. Find your SD and screenshot it like this:
