Did you get the universal time app when you got the Wii link apps and wads?
If so, go to the homebrew channel and launch that app
Then match your time to one of the options on the app
You may wanna redownload the Wii link patcher and get rid of the old universal time app on your sd card
It may have corrupted data
no everything is fine
Just the time
It's out of sync whenever I turn off my wii/unplug it
Oh
Yeah
you probably need to replace the rtc battery
Ah ok
Yeah I replaced the clock/cmos battery, I set the time to 3PM but it's showing the forecast for 1am..
wait for it to update again
Huh?
yeah
Except it hasnt
The time here rn is 6PM & I set my wii to 6pm but the forecast channel is showing for 1am
was the wii on standby
ok
Though I did also set sntp, may that affect anything?
standby is orange light
turn off the priiloader ignore standby setting if its enabled
so the wii actually goes into standby when you power off
ah
However I did leave it on for like an hour
and it's still at 1am
What can I do
wait
for how long?
if you want you could clear forecast data with the clear tool
~~ @hybrid marten do you have the new clear tool~~
yeah somewhere
where can I get the clear tool?
(this is the fixed version that is only in the early access chat, not the helpful chat)
the helpful chat version is broken for wiimote plus
moment
Ok how do I use this then?
extract it to your sd card
open it in the homebrew channel
and delete forecast data
The entire thing or just the stuff in the apps folder
put the apps folder in the zip onto the root of your sd card
no
Ok
sketch using macos moment
Copying rn, but what exactly does it do on the wii?
it lets you delete your data for forecast, news and the wii message board
it's designed as a replacement for the old rc24 clear tool to fix errors
but it also forces them to download updated info
ahh ok
tysm, it worked ๐
tho i di have an addition question
i used sntp earlier as a potential solution
could it f smth up?
no
