I installed the Riiconnect24 patcher a couple of years ago, and my Forecast Channel ran without issue. Yesterday I installed the Wiilink patcher to my Wii's SD card. The only channel I downloaded was the Forecast Channel. I have already downloaded the Wiilink patcher in the past, but only for Japan-exclusive channels. When I booted up the Forecast Channel after installing the patcher, and I got a message which states "The Wiiconnect24 service is currently unavailable. Please try again later", with a button to go back to the main menu. No error code was displayed. My Wii still ran the News Channel and Check Mii Out fine, so I reloaded it and messed with Internet connections a few times with no success. I let it sit overnight before I tried again this morning, but I got the same message. It should be noted that my Wii had a stable Internet connection during this. I also did not make any attempt to remove the Riiconnect24 Forecast Channel from my SD card prior to installing the Wiilink patcher, I do not know if that is necessary or not. I run an RVL-101, don't know if that's helpful.
