#Mario Bros crashing after 5 minutes

I've loaded up a bunch of wbfs files onto a hard drive that I'm running through my WODE Jukebox. As far as I've tested they're all working fine, except for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. After about 5 minutes of playtime, I'm presented with the message:

"Error Occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc. Turn the power off and follow the instructions in the console manual."

I've tried the instructions in the manual (just turn everything off and clean it), loading it via the WODE's onboard menu screen vs. through WODEFlow in the Homebrew Channel, using the 1.2 and 1.1 versions, and converting the wbfs file to iso. Yet the error persists, consistently appearing within 5 minutes of starting the game and irrelevant of what's happening in the game. I haven't experienced this in any of my other games so far, including both EU and US region games (The mario bros I have is US, I have region locking disabled via priiloader).

Any idea what might be causing it or how to resolve it? My problem seems similar to a reddit thread where the suggestion was to reconstruct the NAND. I have a handful of backups from the last couple days (although I'd probably need to make a new one from scratch), but I'm not sure what to expect with that process and what that may affect. And if there's an easier fix I'd rather explore that first

I found the wode manual online, but I was referring to the wii console manual lmao. Which just says turn everything off, unplug it all, clean the disc, and if it persists call their helpline

Yeah I figured as much, but thought it was worth eliminating the low hanging fruit first

Since it's an error message from the wii, not from the wode

Or booting the game

It happens after booting the game and playing for ~5 minutes. When I first booted it up that meant not quite to the end of 1-1, on subsequent attempts since it didn't need to go through the opening cutscene I can make it to the end of 1-2 but not much further than that. I've also just booted it up and left it sitting on the title screen and the error still appears after around 5 minutes

Haven't experienced any issues from just having the disc mounted, but I haven't really tried that and just left it

# blissful rose So does the error happen from mounting a disk?

Did a bit more testing this morning: mounting the disc and staying on the wii menu page is fine, but when I tried to enter it via the disc channel the screen remained black indefinitely. Entering the game via wodeflow and then sitting on the title screen was fine for 5 minutes, but then starting a save had the error appear during the opening cutscene. I also changed from a USA version file to an EU one, but that didn't seem to make any difference
