I'm using a Kingston 8GB MicroSD card inside a Kingston MicroSD to SD adapter. It is formatted in FAT32. When I insert the SD card into the Wii to attempt the LetterBomb exploit, no message shows up in the message board. When I check under Data Management, I get the following message: "The device inserted in the SD Card slot cannot be used".
Any ideas? As this is the only SD card I currently have, can I use a USB drive for this instead?

for more information, you cannot use a usb.
if you would not mind changing methods, i personally used str2hax, and it was very simple

I would've used str2hax but we don't currently have an Internet connection on the Wii.

Have you given FAT32GuiFormatter a try?
Also, did you check that other devices can read the microSD with or without the adapter?

My phone can read the MicroSD by itself, my laptop reads it with the adapter
