you have to format it to FAT32, but you can take your stuff off and put it back on after the format

If I can be of any help I'd like to add to here. So yes part of the disc drive is bent but it's not broken. You can look at how this guy here does it and slowly bends it back to fix the noise at 8:30 https://youtu.be/XhvQu-01xVI
You also do want to use usbloadergx anyway because if you don't use a crt there's this thing on by default you can't turn off without it called a deflicker that makes a blurry filter on games. Only game I know you can turn this off in settings is smash bros brawl
