I have modded my Wii with bootmii (I think boot2), and priiloader. I leave it in standby for Riiconnect 24, and know to fully shut it down when its concernably hot near the SD Card. I have notived more recently tho that if I do not use my Wii once every 24 hours, it likes to go to a state wheere it won't turn on in standby mode and I am forced to disconnect the AC adapter and reconnect it after a bit. I am unsure why this is the case. Does anyone know why this is the case? (When it does the not turn on issue, both the power and reset buttons do not work, idk if a disc fixes the issue). (The model is an original white Wii, probably manufactered in 2009)

does holding down the power button for a while work in that situation? that should force it to shut down after which you should be able to boot it up again, it's probably a lot easier than pulling out the ac adapter
I don't know what causes the problem, but I've faced it numerous times myself and I know there are others who have also had the same issue

Just don’t leave it in standby at all

There’s a priiloader setting so you can have it completely skip standby and turn the power completely off with one press
