4.3E Wan. what can I do?

Hello, I just bought my first Wii and is at version "4.3E Wan." and there is no homebrew channel installed.
From what I understand it appears to be a very old mod, so is there a way to restore the original 4.3E firmware and mod it back with a newer guide?

I recommend you use the Windows program, ModMii. It has many Wii modding tools or "activities" built in.

Do a Syscheck by following this Guide https://wii.guide/syscheck

Download and install ModMii to your windows PC
https://modmii.github.io/

Launch Modmii Classic (not ModMii Skin)
Type I Agree and press enter
Type SU and press enter to select the Syscheck Updater Activity.
Provide it the syscheck.csv file you just made by dragging the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD and dropping it into the ModMii window.
It might ask you if you want to remove\overwrite RiiConnect24 in IOS 31. You can say no.
It'll list many wad files that it will download, select Y = Yes, Generate Guide and Begin Downloading
Follow the generated guide closely to update your mod files.

Delete any WAD or WADs folders from your SD before proceeding. If you don't have any, don't worry about it.

Download and install ModMii to a Windows PC.

Read the agreement and type I Agree and press enter.
Type H for "HackMii Solutions" then press enter.
Answer the prompts about your System Menu version and the Region.
When it asks if it should Begin Downloading now?

Type O to Open File Location "COPY_TO_SD"
Copy the contents of the COPY_TO_SD folder to the root of your SD.
Follow the generated guide that opened in your web browser closely.

I dont understand this bc if you delete it, Wii mod lite wont recognize the wad folder in wii mod lites "wii sd slot" and then you cant delete WADS if they dont appear (i might be wrong)

He was using a different tool with modmii that required different files, deleting those files just avoids confusion

Yeah but idk if you get the point, like if someone who has many wads on their wii and they need to do something with modmii, and they decide to delete wad folder, they have no access to the wads and cant delete them anymore if they want from the Wii

Yeah, so since syscheck can’t detect 4.3 wan, it’s probably not going to do anything about it. I’m assuming doing a system menu update will fix it, but honestly it isn’t necessary as the system is completely fine and shows no other remnants of what was previously installed
