Hi there. Bought a used Wii which didn't have any homebrew on it (to my knowledge) and followed https://wii.guide to the tee, using an sd card and usb stick:
- Used the str2hax exploit,
- Installed homebrew channel and Bootmii,
- Bootmii as IOS was the only option given (as opposed to boot2),
- Made a nand,
- Installed priiloader,
- Installed cIOS as per the instructions on the site
Then I installed usb loader gx, but just didn't have any luck getting games to load from the flashdrive (just black screens after selecting the game titles in the loader), tried wiifow, still no luck, so moved the games over to a Sandisk 32gb SDHC card. USBloader was still no dice, but Wiiflow played them perfectly from the SD card, so carried on from there. Worked great for the past month.
Then, today, in the middle of Wii Party, the TV cuts to "no signal". The Wii had been on for a couple hours. Couldn't check right at that moment if it was overheated etc., but once I could attend to it, this is where I got to:
- I use an inexepensive Wii-HDMI adapter that plugs into the back of the Wii. The HDMI cable is fine as that worked with another console, so it can't be the cable. Have tried another Wii-HDMI adapter and that hasn't resolved the issue.
- Have tried holding 'reset' while powering on, but with no luck. Can't get Priiloader to appear.
- The Wii can turn on using a Wiimote, so its not a 'Bluetooth module' issue, if I understand that part correctly.
There is more advice on the internet for resurrecting a Wii that installed Bootmii as boot2, but not as much for IOS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
