To help troubleshoot your issue please run Syscheck and test all IOS on your Wii by following this guide:
https://wii.guide/syscheck

When it's done it will generate and display a syscheck.csv file.

If you have an SD, power down the Wii and insert the SD into a PC. Drag and drop the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD into chat.

If you don't have an SD, you might get an error. Just continue until the report is displayed. You will need to upload the report and link the URL to chat or take photos of the entire report.

just put the installer wherever you have your apps located

#

also, if you have a connection to the internet on your wii, you can skip nus downloader

Yeah I think the reason why I didn’t get a cios is that I followed the instructions that required an internet connection without connecting the wii to any wifi. Instead of the instructions for the wii without the connection. Ill take the correct steps now

The Wii needs a 2.4ghz signal with Network 802.11b enabled. If your isp will not let you change these settings, you have a few options:

You can use a LAN adapter. It must have the ASIX AX88772 Chipset or say “compatible with Wii”. Here’s a recommended LAN adapter by uGreen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DRKYKMM/

Alternatively, you can buy a slave router and just use the isp you already have. Here’s a cheap router that should work for the Wii https://www.walmart.com/ip/Netis-WF2412-Wireless-router-4-port-switch-802-11b-g-n-2-4-GHz/37406393

I got it reading wii games, thanks. One last thing, is it ok to delete the cios installer now?

I would just keep it just in case
