#Kirby RTDL works fine for 1 player, but not second controller

I have KRTDL working quite well on my black original model Wii with USB Loader GX (rev 1272) and cIOS 249 — in single player. When the game is booted, I can enter and exit levels with 1 player and no issues. When I enable the second controller in the pause menu, if I enter or exit a level, I get a black screen with music continuing to play. If I activate the second controller while in a level, both controllers will play just fine until level exit. Both controllers work fine in New SMB Wii, Wii Play, Wii Sports Resort, all Just Dance titles, etc.

Any clues how I can get the second controller working so I can play multiplayer with my daughter? Thanks In advance!

Yea, i realize now this game has very special handling for second controller. I can get the second player activated, but then I get hangs entering and exiting a level — but only if the second player is activated. It all works fine in single player.

maybe you should update your cIOS and USB loader GX...

go read the changes on v3.0-r1280...

obv you should update to the latest r1281, but dont forget to also update your cIOS as some people been having issues using cIOS v10 and USBLGX r1281..
