Hi! I know this is probably a common question, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere online. (There was one on Reddit, but the English was really bad and I couldn't understand it.) I just wanted to know if installing WiiWare and Virtual Console WADs will brick my Wii? Thanks in advance.

Installing VC and WiiWare will not brick your Wii unless you install it without enabling region free in priiloader first. Custom forwarders can brick your Wii if the banner size is incorrect or if it is installed on the incorrect iOS.

Most forwarders can be installed to the default iOS that Wii mod lite chooses (iOS 58) however if you find a forwarder that says “install to this iOS” then you must install it to that iOS

i don't think i'm using a forwarder, i'm just using the dumped wads from my older wii

Using the default iOS Wii mod lite chooses will install Wii ware and VC titles just fine with region free enabled and will work 100%
