Possible solutions to move throughout the Priiloader Menu (Brick) — Urgent

Hi, today I’m trying to fix my Wii (it’s bricked), the problem is that my Wii Remote doesn’t pair with the console, and I don’t have my Nintendo Gamecube controller ports because the console doesn’t have them. I don’t care about losing all my info, I just want to move throughout the Priiloader menu in order to go to the BootMii option and restore my Wii by formating it. Thank you.

I think it is because I have an older Priiloader version (I did all this moding like 3 years ago, even the Wii Mini wasn’t posible to mod it).

Well I know that if you install a wad with the incorrect banner size it will brick

And priiloader does boot with the reset bottom

If it’s a wad issue you should have any problems connecting a Wii remote

power cycle your wii (you probably just did this)

press power and it will move down to hbc

and press reset to select it

If I turn on the console and get into the Priiloader menu, and then press the power bottom, it will turn off the console

The only bottom that doesn’t take me out of the priiloader menu is the eject bottom

By pressing the reset bottom inside the priiloader it takes me back the a black screen (gives signal)

And by pressing power turns the console to stanby (orange led color)

Can I use a USB Gamecube Controller adapter to plug a Gamecube controller?

And use it in the priiloader menu?

I tried using a 8BitDo USB Brick device to pair up my Wii Remote

It pairs it but doesn’t move to different options 😅

Yup yup I have 3 different Wii Remotes

All of them worked for my perfectly

And yesterday playing some games on the Wii U

All of them worked perfectly

Even with the 8BitDo Adapter

you cannot pair wii remotes in most homebrew applications

and an old version of priiloader is no exception

What if you tried paring them on the brick screen

Like load up system menu normally and just pair them at the warning screen

It says you can fix it with blue bomb

Wait it says it can happen with a broken Bluetooth module which would explain the remotes not pairing

The BT for the one you were just doing. Idk what’s wrong with your other Wii

But one of the things that causes no signal is a bad wifi chip

Yup, same situation: my red Wii (The one with the priiloader menu) gives signal, my white Wii doesn’t give signal at all.

UPDATE: I changed the bluetooth module and it finally gave signal and connected the controllers :D

Now the problem is: How do I update priiloader, new versions of Riiconnect24, etc.

Do you guys recommend me to format my Wii in the official way (Trough the Wii Settings) or a clean nand format?

Just use the priiloader installer, and if you installed riiconnect24 after April 2021 then you don’t need to update anything

I recommend you use the Windows program, ModMii. It has many Wii modding tools or "activities" built in.

Download and install ModMii to your windows PC

Launch Modmii Classic (not ModMii Skin)
Type I Agree and press enter
Type SU and press enter to select the Syscheck Updater Activity.
Provide it the syscheck.csv file you just made by dragging the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD and dropping it into the ModMii window.
It might ask you if you want to remove\overwrite RiiConnect24 in IOS 31. You can say no.
It'll list many wad files that it will download, select Y = Yes, Generate Guide and Begin Downloading
Follow the generated guide closely to update your mod files.

Hi, I’m trying to follow the cIOS guide to be able to download wii games on my wii console

But when I try to install the 3 cIOS in slot 249, 250 and 251

It says to mi net_init error

And fails to do it

Make sure your Wii has a successful internet connection test they try again. Otherwise follow the offline instructions
